Is the SuperMoney app real or fake?
The SuperMoney app is real. It is published by SuperMoney, a U.S. company founded in 2013 and based in Santa Ana, California, and it is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play as SuperMoney: Budgeting AI.
Two things make people ask this question, and both are worth knowing.
1. There is more than one app called "SuperMoney"
Search either app store for "super money" and you will see results from several unrelated companies, including a UPI payments app from India. Ours is the one that:
- is published by SuperMoney (check the developer name on the listing)
- lists supermoney.com as its official website
- is named SuperMoney: Budgeting AI
The safest route is to start at supermoney.com and use the download links there. Those always point to our real listings.
2. Scammers use our name
People have impersonated SuperMoney over phone, text, and email. One rule catches nearly all of it:
SuperMoney will never cold-call, text, or email you offering a loan or telling you that you have been approved, unless you have already taken action on supermoney.com or in the SuperMoney app. If a message arrives out of nowhere, it is not from us, whatever it says and whatever logo it uses. More on spotting this.
We will also never ask you for an upfront fee to release a loan. No legitimate lender does.
If you are unsure whether something came from us, contact us directly before you share anything.
What the app actually does
Connect your bank, credit card, and loan accounts to see your whole financial picture in one place: net worth, cash flow, a budget that builds itself from your real spending, credit score monitoring, and Sense AI, an assistant that answers questions about your own money.
